Keep Calm And Read This

I just suddenly found out the original story about the famous poster design "Keep Calm and Carry On". Well, I firstly thought that it's only one of the famous words in UK, yet it wasn't.

About "Keep Calm and Carry On was apparently the third in a series of World War II posters drawn up by the UK Ministry of Information. It made in order to boost the morale of the British people by passing on a message from King George VI.

Designed like a stark white text on a red background, with the only image on the poster being the royal crown of George VI. This poster, although printed, but it was never distributed. Different from the first two posters "Your Courage, Your Cheerfulness, Your Resolution will Bring Us Victory" and "Freedom is in Peril".

At the end of the war, the posters were collected up and pulped. It's believed that only two original posters out of a print run of over a million survive to this day. Then one day Stuart and Mary Manley, who run a bookshop called Barter Books, whilst sorting through a box of old books, they found one of the few surviving original copies of the "Keep Calm and Carry On" poster. They liked it so much. They framed and placed it  in their shop. Everyone loves it too. and even the costumers wanted to buy it. So Stuart and Mary started selling and pinting facsimilie copies of the poster.

This poster was hand-designed by a sadly anonymous civil servant and as such doesn't use standard font. So there's no on any computer in this world knew the type of the font.

So since that time, the poster has become world famous.

However everyone all over the internet made a similar one with different word nowdays. Like "Keep Calm and Kiss Me" or "Keep Calm and Rock On" with a cute image.

And just today, I found my friend Alvidha makes her own. Lols for KKN !

And here's what I made using Keep Calm internet matic :p

I do love him. Good night :)
